Hey Guys, I just want to let you know that I will be playing my only January show at The Kennett Flash in Kennett Square PA on Friday, January 30th. I look forward to seeing you all there for another great night of songs and stories.
A man was buried today (January 2nd 2015) in West Cumbria while the rest of the world went about it's shenanigans oblivious to what was lost. His name was Peter Watson. I had known him first as an English teacher when I was eleven years old and I have been close with him for the past ten years since the creation of The Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children's Fund of which he was a great supporter. He would always come visit my mams house for a cup of tea when he heard I was in town.
Every now and then people pop up in my life who are exceptionally talented and I always feel compelled to share their work with as many people as I can. The latest talent I came across is an artist called Paul Hutchinson from the UK who showed up at one of my house concerts and handed me this wonderful caricature of my good self.
I don't think I have to explain at this point how much I love the early Genesis tunes. After being coaxed back into progressive rock by Dave Kerzner and then singing on Steve Hacketts Genesis revisited, I thought that would be enough Prog for one year and I could go back to my strange musical experiments at home.
"If you are a music lover, what could be better than having your favourite musician come into your front room, and play a show for you and your friends, well in my opinion, it doesn't get much better than that ...Unless this musician happens to be Francis Dunnery, then it becomes even more special than you can imagine. Not only do get get to hear his amazing guitar playing, along with his sublime voice, he also brings into your living room his unique charisma, and his ability to tell stories, either about the album and songs you have chosen, or his amazing insight into life. We have just had our second House Concert, and can't wait to have many more, if we are lucky enough to get the chance.
