  WAITING FOR ARTWORK
Dominic Beaumont
The Brand New Francis Dunnery DVD has been delayed by one week due to artwork complications at the CD plant.

The DVD and bonus CD were due to be shipped on August 31st but artwork complications made the shipping date impossible.

I spoke to Francis and he told me " I suppose it's classic Mercury in Retrograde" he continues " We have around fifteen people all trying to get the product ready but two of the artwork staff went on holiday and miscommunication with the CD plant created enormous confusion. The DVD and bonus CD disks are already finished and have been ready to be shipped since Monday 30th August, we just need the packaging. It's very frustrating".

Dunnery continues "I'm sorry for the delay but it truly is out of our hands. I have called the CD plant and threatened everyone I could but at this stage of the game we simply have to wait. We have prioritized the package at the CD plant so we are first in line. We have been promised that we will have the finished article ready to ship on September 8th. Orders will be sent on September 9th so you should receive them around 13th - 16th depending on where you live. I am going to send everyone who ordered a CD an individual email to notify them of the delay".

  DUNNERY ANNOUNCES UK FEARLESS BAND
Dominic Beaumont
Francis Dunnery has announced details of the musicians that will accompany him on his October 2010 UK Fearless tour.

The band will consist of Jamie Bishop on bass guitar, David Sancious on keyboards, Tony Beard on drums and Dorie Jackson on backing vocals. The band will also be assisted electronically by Aquarian Nation artist John Gilmour Smith.

"This is a pretty intense band" says Dunnery " The Fearless CD stretches from beautiful textures to extremely aggressive fusion Rock music so I need a band who can stretch that far and remain authentic. You can't teach people this stuff, you either 'is' or you 'isn't' "

Dunnery teams up once again with 'New Progressives' bass player Jamie Bishop who has established himself as one of the best musicians on the New York session circuit. " Jamie's very musical and he always comes well prepared so I don't have to think much when we are rehearsing. He will fit in perfectly with this band. His bass playing is flawless".

Also in the line up is Gulley Flats Boys keyboard player David Sancious. " I love David's playing". says Dunnery " He is one of those real heavyweight musicians who brings an authentic and extremely emotional dynamic to the band. He can rock the baby to sleep and then knock you out in the next moment".

Tony Beard will be the drummer in the band. Tony last played with Francis in the Welcome to the Wild Country band almost three years ago. Dunnery explains " One of the things about the Fearless CD is that it has an almost R&B feel at times. There aren't many players out there who can play with that particular feel yet also play authentic fusion. Tony Beard is perfect for this tour".

Dunnery's long time backing vocalist Dorie Jackson will be joining him once again. " Dorie Jackson is the best singer I have ever worked with. She's brilliantly smart, she's extremely creative and she has a beautiful voice. When Dorie is involved in my projects I don't have to think, she takes a huge amount of stress off my back and allows me to rehearse my own parts".

The band will rehearse two days before the opening night at the Walls in Oswestry before setting out on a full UK tour. Don't miss Francis Dunnery's New Vibration band on tour throughout the UK in October. Get your tickets HERE

  CKDCF 2010
Francis Dunnery
Hi everyone, I just want to give you a quick update on all the CKDCF events this year........ Learn More

Wow, October is here once again. Just when I thought life was slowing down, the CKDCF annual fund raiser lands on our doorstep. I always love this time of year because not only do I get to see my old mates from 'back home', I also get to see my old house concert mates from all over the planet. Last years event was probably the best year we have had, for some reason the vibes were extra incredible. I hope we can achieve the same this year although every year is unique in itself. I'm sure many of you will be excited to see each other once again.

Ultimate Fundraising! Our supporters are going to great lengths to raise funds for the CKDCF. From Slim-A-Thon's to Three Peak Challenges to riding 1,407 km miles on a bicycle, 2010 is proving to be our most extreme fundraising year to date! Have your own extreme fundraising idea? Just Giving is the perfect way to help get the support you need for your challenge!! Please contact info@ckdcf.org with any questions.

We have already had some great fund raising events in aid of the CKDCF. Dawn Roberts and her team from Barlcleys Bank set out on a three peak hike, climbing to the top of three of the UK's highest mountains. I think they have already raised quite a large amount of cash for the fund. We will certainly be honoring their efforts at the October weekend.

David Brain started out on a slimathon (it should have been me) and has lost forty two pounds in weight and raised three hundred and forty four pounds so far. David will also be getting honored (no, not hammered... honored) during the evening.

Shaun Lester is riding his bike from Lands End to John o Groats which is a hell of a distance to ride a push bike. We will certainly be giving Shaun a well deserved round of applause at the charity event.

These are just some of the wonderful creative efforts people have been doing all year. Anyone who has raised money or is planning an event please let me know and I will make sure your name goes in lights right around the world.

The International Festival of Love - We have some fantastic events for you this year. If anyone wants to attend I suggest you contact Erica immediately otherwise you may not be able to take part in the Friday night dinner as we are limited to 200 people.

The Friday night dinner 'entertainment section' will feature musical offerings from House Concert hosts from around the world as well as John and Wayne's usual folk music extravaganza at the end of the night. As a special bonus for the evening, Simon Rogers, Dorie Jackson and myself will be performing a special Genesis concert, featuring songs from the Peter Gabriel era....... all of the above will be sauteed in the beautiful energy created by all those in attendance. This is a high energy event and not for the miserable. (that's me out)

Sport - Saturday morning is the table tennis competition that I won last year (ha ha) I beat Rolph from Germany in a closely tied five set game. The Germans may have whooped us at soccer in South Africa but they didn't beat us at table tennis!!!! The victory didn't go to my head but after the event I did change my name to 'wha tha fuk'.

Rock n Roll - Saturday night is the Fearless Concert, all the songs from the 1994 Fearless CD plus a few surprise tracks from my sordid past that no one would expect me to do. I am putting together a killer band as we speak. The show will be opened by special guest 'John Gilmore Smith' who also has a CD coming out on Aquarian Nation on September 24th. John's CD is absolutely amazing. wait until you hear it, you will be blown away.

Walk Like an Egyptian - Sunday morning we will have our usual breakfast in the forest followed by a six mile sponsored walk to get rid of everyone's hangover. Sometimes this event looks like the Ministry of Silly walks when people show up still drunk from the night before. Nothing puts hairs on your chest like the CKDCF sponsored walk.

King Tuts - After that it's up to Glasgow for our yearly night of insanity at the King Tuts Music venue. I look forward to seeing you all at the event. have a fantastic day and I will see you all in October.

  FEARLESS DATES ANNOUNCED
Dominic Beaumont
Francis Dunnery has announced the dates for the 2010 UK 'Fearless' Tour.

Dunnery has never toured the Fearless CD and after 16 years he feels that now is the time. I asked Dunnery why he has taken to touring older CDs and not new music? He explains " I think a little history goes a long way towards people appreciating an artists work. I never make the same CD twice so it's difficult when I release a new CD because it's often radically different from my last one and people usually take two to three months to get used to it. Everyone knows the Fearless CD by now. This is going to be one of the coolest tours I have done for a while".
