I never got around to buying the original album but knew all the tracks. The opportunity to download this remake prompted me to finally purchase RTTWC. The production is sublime, Francis right on point with his emotion-wrenching vocals, lyrics and excellent guitar work all more than adequately supported by great musicians and backing vocalists. This album is beautiful.
I think that as first review I should get a free house concert. 😉 I saw Francis live in Derby just before I too moved to the USA.
Francis, you are a wonderful talent and you sing to our souls and the better person that we are inside. If you are ever down south-east Minnesota, there is a bit of Nottingham waiting to welcome you.
    Peace and love to you.

The rock steading bass with a few frills here and there is fantastic! The more I listen the more I discover!

I remember hearing about the release of the original version of this album and thinking I’d struggle to get it as it was only a Japanese issue, then walked into my local record store and they had a copy. Duly purchased it and it has been one of my favourite albums ever since. Grossly underrated IMO. So I was a bit hesitant when I saw it had been re-recorded but honestly, it is even better than the original, Francis’ vocals are just getting better all the time and the recording/audio quality is second to none. Basically, what I’m saying is that you just need to click on the “Add to cart” button now and stop reading this because you’re just delaying the inevitable and the sooner you stop reading this, the sooner you can start listening to the new tracks in all their outstanding glory.
